As Commis Chef within the Kitchen Department, you are expected to fully uphold Company Standards, providing excellent service to our guests whilst being:

Responsible to: Chef De Partie, Chef Tournant, Senior Sous Chef and Executive Chef

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that cleaning of kitchen and staff food service areas are of company standard
  • Ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum
  • Responsible for completing your mis en place
  • Learn and record skills and recipes of other team members of kitchen department
  • Verifying that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well managed
  • Cover sickness, and follow policies on absenteeism for the whole team
  • To understand and comply with food hygiene regulations
  • Follow health and safety policies, HACCP and other procedures in every aspect
  • Ensure that all equipment is clean and in good working order
  • To be aware of and act in accordance with Fire Safety Procedures at all times
  • Attending all statutory training as and when required by the company
  • Any additional ad-hoc duties requested by your superior
